Gandalf got run over by a Balrog
Standing on the bridge of Khazad-Dum
That big ol' fire whip caught on his ankle
Now the mines of Moria are a tomb
Oh, that foolish hobbit Pippin
Should take heed of things unkown
He sent that bucket down the mineshaft
(Or, if you read the book, he threw a stone)
Either way, at the next moment
Came the beating of a drum
And Gandalf's comment, more or less, was:
"Head for the hills! The fire-demon's come!"

But we can't help thinking that it's Pippin's fault
