24th October 2005:
Edited this a bit. I know it's short. But hey, I wrote this a year ago when I was eleven. Wasn't really into poems then.
Triste
Sleep, my little Dragon,
as the night grows old.
Sleep, my little Dragon,
as the sky turns cold.
You dwell silently,
in the black night.
You doze soundly,
as bats take flight.
Never again to be waken,
as our tears gush freely down,
we place upon thy head,
the supreme Slytherin crown.
Triste (trest): Sad and wistful. We learnt in Half-Blood Prince that yes, Draco Malfoy is actually capable of crying. So why shouldn't he be capable of envy and unhappiness? The hesitance he demonstrated when pushed to kill Dumbledore was a revelation of his...humanity. He has emotion and sensitivity too. But we can only leave it up to J.K. Rowling to decide exactly how much. Hehe. Maybe she's finally noticed all the potential in expanding DM's character - or the number of Felton/Malfoy fangirls out there. (cough) :P
