Broken Vow

It's been 7 years since Chihiro has seen Haku or had anything to do with the spirit world. Sometimes she thinks that Haku had found someone else to love and had forgotten about his promise that they would meet again…

"Tell me her name I want to know…

The way she looks and where you go…

I need to see her face,

I need to understand why you and I came to an end…

Tell me her name I want to hear who broke my faith in all these years…

Who lies with you at night, when I'm here all alone…

Remembering when I was your own…"

This song entered her mind every time she began to think about Haku, would he really do this to her?

"I'll let you go,

I'll let fly,

Why do I keep asking why?

I'll let you go,

Now that I've found,

A way to keep somehow,

More than a broken Vow…"

Every night she cried herself to sleep thinking about Haku betraying her…

"Tell me the words I never said,

Show me the tears you never shed,

Give me the touch,

That one you promised to be mine,

Or has it vanished for all time?"

Chihiro was always in a terrible state. She couldn't help but think about Haku all the time. Just the thought of Haku literally tore up her inner soul. Just a little thought would kill her mentally.

"I'll let you go,

I'll let fly,

Why do I keep asking why?

I'll let you go,

Now that I've found,

A way to keep somehow,

More than a broken Vow…"

Everyday she went to school, not being able to concentrate. Her grades dropped drastically, but that was the last thing on her mind…

"I close my eyes,

And dreams of you and I,

And then I realize,

There's more to life then just bitterness and lies,

I close my eyes!"

When Chihiro just couldn't take it anymore, she just quit school completely. She just had to see Haku again…

"I'd give away my soul,

To hold you once again,

And never let this promise end!"

So one Friday evening, she slipped out of the house and walked to the tunnel that had first taken her to the spirit world. She went through the tunnel to find that the Spirit World had been completely destroyed and from what she could see, nobody was alive. She dashed off back to her house, and straight to her bed. She fell onto it and literally cried her heart out. She had no point in living now, so she silently walked down to the kitchen.

"I'll let you go,

I'll let fly,

Why do I keep asking why?

I'll let you go,

Now that I've found,

A way to keep somehow,

More than a broken Vow…"

She grabbed the biggest and sharpest knife she could find.
"I love you Haku… So, here I come!"

And then she plunged the knife deep into her heart and fell dead to the floor.
