Breathe. Gasp

Love must be that feeling in the pit of your stomach when he walks in the room...

It was just like any other day. The moonlight was shinning through the windows and dancing across the wooden tables where Ron, Hermione and I were doing our homework. Or well, Hermione and I were. Ron was just sitting there, running his mouth. I figured he talked more when Harry was around. It was the separation anxiety getting to him.

Hermione smiled, saying, "uh huh," to make Ron think she was listening as she scribbled away, finishing up the essay which is due in four days. That was Hermione. The fire was crackling, merrily lighting up the room with its warmth.

It was near Christmas and the room was decorated with floating candles and a Christmas tree, done of course in red and gold. Presents were stashed under the tree. Everyone is the whole Gryffindor house was filled with excitement. Christmas was nearly here.

Ginny looked up at her friend and her brother, who in a way had become a closer friend since she had started school. She didn't know what she would do without those two people. Hermione was always there when she needed some help, advice or even comfort from the cold harsh reality. Hermione was the sister she never had.

Ron was also always there. Though, she never went to him for homework help or advice on her love life. He was there to comfort her, and to beat up the boy who broke her heart. She loved him, though she hated to admit it sometimes.

And Harry… well, Harry was different than any other boy in school. And she didn't mean because he survived coming face to face with Voldemort numerous times. It was the fact that when he walked in the room all she could do is stare. Her breath catches in her throat and her heart skips a beat just because he's there.

She could never imagine what it would be like for him to wrap his arms around her and plant a soft kiss on her cheek.

Ginny glanced up at the common room door just as Harry entered carrying the stack of book Hermione ordered him to go get.
