I never thought I'd have this constant adrenaline rush zipping
throughout my entire body, never quite settling inside me. It feels like
no matter what way you move, you know at least one other creature is
watching you, whether it be from a distance, or breathing down the back of
your numbed neck. No matter how many sweat-dropped pores surround your
skin and fur, you know you have to keep on moving quickly. And when you're
bleeding heavily and you know you're suffering from blood loss, you still
have to keep moving, even if you're too weak to move quickly.
I thought being on the battlefield would be much easier. I thought wrong. It hadn't occurred to me that you could be anywhere on either the Verachian or the Persian side of the planet. Sometimes you would have to swim, even with your wide-open cuts and your freezing legs. Other times you would be in the middle of the hot desert, struggling to hide in the shadow of a cliff or even behind a large cactus. The worst would probably be in the snowy areas, where our dark colors stood out like a star in the dark sky of planet Earth. The only advantages there are the Persian blood we sometimes find. It keeps us alive. But frozen bodies are no good unless thawed.
My name is Princess Souja, daughter of Queen Taruka and King Touga. I am a Verache. I go to classes, just as humans on earth did many hundreds of years ago before it was taken over by my people. Outside classes, I have a mission that all Veraches and Persias alike must have - Battle. The war between the Verache and Persia began years ago, and the tradition lives on.
But there is a different side to my life as well; it's not all serious and action-packed. In fact, my life outside the Battlefield and my classes is completely social. Read along as I tell you my tale of war, drama, romance, action, adventure, and even some humor. Are you ready to take on the challenges that await?
Please rate what you think of my preview. The first chapter is soon to come!
