It was a dark and cold night in Inuyasha forest. Kagome was wandering through the dark looking for Kaede. A man in the village told her that Kaede wanted to meet with her by the sacred tree.
'My god, it's easy to find your way around here in the day time, but as hard as hell to find your way around here in the dark.' Kagome thought to herself. "Oh I see Kaede by the sacred tree." she said to quietly.
"Over here child, and hurry we haven't much time to spare." Kaede said.
"What is it Kaede, why did you want to meet me out here in the dead of night, couldn't it of at least waited until morning." Kagome said tiredly.
"No, Kagome it most definitely could not of waited until morning." "I have just received word that the demon my sister killed with her sacred arrow 6O years ago has been resurrected." "When you accidentally broke the shikon no tama with your arrow several weeks ago, the demon Ariksona was brought back to life, by one of the shards being imbedded into it's skull." "When that happened all of it's rotting flesh was restored along with it's hatred for my sister." "Keep in mind Kagome this demon does not know that 6O years have passed, and it doesn't know that my sister is dead, so it has been hunting you for several days."
"But why me I didn't do anything to him, all I did was fall down a well." Kagome said annoyed.
"I know this but it does not, it wants revenge for being killed by my sister." "It will stop at nothing to kill you." "So I am asking you to lead Ariksona away from the village and slay it." "Inuyasha can not help you, he tried to kill Ariksona 6O years ago." "He was almost killed in the process, but then my sister came and killed the beast." "You see Inuyasha's claws and fangs are of demon nature, and Ariksona has thick demon scales, only my sister's arrow was able to pierce through it's scales.
"Yeah, okay but now Inuyasha has the Tetsusaiga." "He should be able to tear through that demon's thick backside."
"Sadly no child, that sword is made of a demon fang, and is just as useless against its scales." "I am afraid that if Inuyasha goes with you he will just get in the way of your true potential."
"Oh okay well I didn't bring my bow or arrows can I use yours Kaede?" Kagome asked
"Yes, of course you can child now go quickly to the village south east from here that is the last place that Ariksona was spotted." "Tell no one of your journey you must leave now, and take this pack that I have prepared for you." "It has food and water to last you the trip there." "It is only a 2 day walk from here."
"Okay Kaede wish me luck." Kagome said as she took the pack and walked away from the sacred tree towards the village south east from here.
Kaede stood still for several minutes waiting for Kagome to get out of sight. When Kagome was far enough away Kaeade's skin and clothing melted away and there stood Naraku.
"Ha, stupid women is walking right into my trap" Naraku laughed. "In a matter of days she will face certain death, whether by Ariksona or by the demons I have sent to follow and kill her." "I will finally get to see how big of a threat this reincarnation of Kikyo can be." Naraku sneered
