All That Matters
First off, this is my first try writing #1 a heterosexual pairing story, and #2 writing a Chobits story. Please please please be kind! I mostly write Gundam Wing fics, so this is quite the different kind of story for me. But I fell in love with this manga the day I bought it at Brentanos. ^_^
NOTES: Hideki/Chi, sap, fluff, cute romance. Basic get-together fic written by a newbie to this section. ^_^

Her long, silky white hair flowed around her ankles as she took delicate and silent steps towards Hideki's room. It wasn't quite dawn yet, but it wasn't exactly night either, but to Chi it didn't really matter. She watched from the threshold as Hideki slept and smiled softly to herself. He looked so peaceful whenever he was sleeping. The look of stress from cram school and lack of money never showed on his face while he dreamed. Chi slid through the crack in the door and simply went down on her knees with her elbows and chin rested on the newer mattress Hideki had recently managed to purchase. She watched the gentle rising and falling of his chest, how the fabric of his shirt shifted ever so slightly with each inhale and exhale. The way his bangs floated just infront of his closed eyelids reminded Chi of her own bangs.
For a while she sat in that same position, almost like a little child peering at a kitten on top of a bed, when the child was on the floor. She became almost mystefied by simply watching him sleep, until she decided she didn't want to just watch him sleep. Another warm, tender smile crossed her face as she pulled herself to her feet and crawled onto the mattress, weaving her way into Hideki's arms as gently as possible without waking him. A content look settled itself on her face as she lay quietly in his embrace. Closing her eyes, she exhaled a soft breath and enjoyed every moment she was in his arms.
Hideki cracked one eye open and blinked until his vision became clearer in the pre-dawn minutes, the sun creeping through the broken peices of material posing as his blinds. Once he came to his senses completely, he realized something, or rather, *someone*, was in his arms. His first instinct was to scream and jump out of bed, but he caught sight of what looked to him like a persocom's ears, and realized it was only Chi he was holding.
Wait a second!
`Why... am I holding Chi?` Hideki thought to himself as he unconciously tightened his grip around her petite body. It wasn't like he minded her being in his arms. No, he didn't mind at all. In fact, he liked it. He enjoyed holding her frame close to his. As he continued to stare at her innocent expression, he hardly noticed when her amber eyes opened. Only when Hideki heard Chi's voice did he snap out of his trance-like state.
"Why is Hideki staring at Chi?" She asked curiously.
A wide grin spread across Hideki's face as he huskily replied, "Because Hideki loves Chi." He watched as a smile inched its way onto her face before he leaned forward, gently pressing his lips to hers. And in that moment, Hideki didn't care if Chi was a persocom or a real human girl. He didn't care, because he loved her.
And that was all that mattered.

o_o This turned out so kawaii. Well, there's my first try at a Chobits fic! Also my first try with a heterosexual story with a result I'm satisfied with. Please review!
P.S.- Meg, halfway through I got an idea which required changing the genre of this story, therefore I couldn't use the title you suggested... But it will be used! ^_^
