Chapter 1 - Memories

It was a gloomy morning as Hermione Granger, 16, woke up. She yawned and screamed "Harry! Ron! Get up!" There was no reply. She stopped, stunned and took a moment before realizing that there was no Harry, nor any Ron because of the horrible friend that she had been.

She got up, wore her floppy bunny slippers which no longer seemed cute nor cuddly but rather old and shaggy because after all, what was the purpose? Previously, she would have answered that question by saying that it was for memories, but now, memories struck a hard, stone cold cut through her heart as all the past memories had been so joyful; she could always have counted on her two best friends (well ex-best friends) for anything she wanted. Dragging herself to the bathroom mirror, she winged it open, moaning in exhaustion, but she couldn't go back to sleep now.Dumbledore was coming. She brushed her teeth and sauntered downstairs to eat her breakfast. Scrambled eggs? Toast? No.she wasn't hungry. Now, starving was the only way out. At least, making herself look pretty was something that she could admire about herself. After all, she was horrible at everything else.

Dumbledore arrived at 9 o'clock with a beautiful breakfast and some flowers that would hope to cheer her up. HE thought that she was upset because Ron had run away, but she had actually lost the best friend of all as well. Harry.Harry.the name just seemed like such a faraway thought. It seemed like years ago since the last time they talked or she got pissed off at him for not doing his homework. Life at Grimauld Place was not really the bomb. At least, at school, she had the library to safeguard her from all this nonsense. Dumbledore gave her the flowers and croissants along with a huge fatherly hug. Asking to excuse herself, she ran to the bathroom and as soon as she closed the door, the tears swooshed down like a waterfall. They just kept coming, never ending and when she finally calmed down, she sat down on the smooth white seat and began to think about the occurrences of the past few days. It seemed like only yesterday when she was happily enjoying her time and life with Severus, the potions teacher, who loved her so dearly (or so she thought) and then, how he has threatened to have sex with her and tortured her, trashing her till she felt horrible about herself. Her only option was to commit suicide, but when she attempted.oh.the horror.

This is her story.the one that never had a happy ending, the one that ended in only sorrow, the one that taught Hermione Granger, top student of the grade, NEVER to fall in love with a teacher.
