After the attack on Atlas, Team RWBY and their allies pour over their efforts to face the Collective as Jaune and Weiss struggle with their feelings to each other, the situation complicated by their now parental roles. Meanwhile a mysterious girl appears under strange circumstances thwarting the Collective and the heroes at every turn.

As a vampire, Ruby Rose depended on the blood of others to sustain herself. There was only one problem. She hated blood. There very sight of it made her queasy. Some vampire she was! But Ruby needed to eat to survive. So when it came time to feed, and her prey lay sleeping in his bed, she hesitated. Until the young blond boy finally woke up, and wondered just what was going on.

Jaune Arc lost his home to an invasion of monsters. Finding himself thrown to the furthest reaches of Remnant he swears revenge. Armed with an old family relic and unfinished training he sets his sights on Beacon. He would achieve his ambition. And he'll kill every Grimm to do it.

The Branwen tribe controls 1/4 of Mistral. Raven Branwen has declared a new republic with herself as life president and Sienna Khan as her prime minister and a committment to equal rights. When Hazel tells her that salem will forgive all percieved sins in exchnage for the Relic of Knowledge, Raven asks herself why and Remnant will never be the same afterwards.

Wayward places Ruby and Yang on a world much more similar to our own. In this world, those with superhuman Abilities are considered Aberrant, and are relentlessly hunted by shadowy forces. With only each other to rely on, they try to survive in a world that won't leave them alone.

When Cinder Fall deigns to rescue Roman from his botched Dust Shop theft, she briefly duels one Glynda Goodwitch to escape. Something stirs within Cinder then, a yearning, for the first time, towards something other than power. It's because of that feeling that she and her 'Team' travel to Beacon Academy a semester early, chasing that which Cinder can't help wanting to understand.
