O you souls under Heaven,
Draw in thy breath and release it
In a holy shout of praise to Christ the Lord.

For the Lord our God is Holy,
His Wisdom is beyond mortal minds,
His Love is unfathomable to us, yet given.
~
All ye people, praise the Lord!
~
Oh people, know you not how He loves us?
How Christ All-powerful came to us
And loved and healed and died,
So that we unloved and sick could live?
~
Oh people, know you not how we have repaid him?
With hatred and scorn and bitterness against Him,
And against those who follow Him faithfully
In this sinful world, yet still He loves us.
~
All ye people, praise the Lord!
