Jake stood on the brink of death and he knew it. It was only a matter of time before he died. He had known this going in. So it didn't surprise him when it happened. He stood in the midst of the most brutal battle he had seen yet. The Yeerks had finally done it. They had blown up their town. So they dropped the act too. The Animorphs had stolen a nuke and sent it via bug fighter up to the mothership. The Yeerks had responded By attacking The Animorphs in the Hork-Bajir valley. So here they stood, in the midst of Hork-Bajir bodies. Jake stood watching the battle around him. And didn't even see the Hork-Bajir Controller sneak up behind him ,and shoot him point blank in the head.
