I haven't seen all of Inuyasha. The last episode I saw was the one about
the ink things from hell. I don't know that much about it, so this might
not make sense to hard-core fanatics.

Kagome approached Kikyo. No one else knew that she had been searching for her. She hadn't even known if she still had a body anywhere. But she had found her and now she would attempt to make Kikyo's world a little better and thereby making everyone else's better too.
"Kikyo."
Kikyo made no move towards her. She felt it futile.
"I have something to tell you about Inuyasha."
Kikyo's eyes hardened and her body stiffened. Her hands were made into fists.
This did not faze Kagome at all.
"Inuyasha did not steal the Jewel of 4 souls from you."
Kikyo prepared to hear lies. If she wouldn't believe her beloved Inuyasha when he said that, why would she believe the girl who had stolen her soul?
"Naraku disguised himself as Inuyasha and stole the Jewel from you in a successful attempt to turn the two of you against each other.
"I'd be happy to share our soul if it meant we would have another friend instead of an enemy."
"Can't you respect me as a person, Kagome? You only offer me a soul if I promise to be a certain way. How can you take my freedom like that? I have the freedom to be what you call evil."
"But you're not evil, Kikyo! You just thought that Inuyasha had betrayed you. He didn't. He loves you."
"Does not love you as well?"
"We are the same person, really."
"I must speak with Inuyasha."
"All right. Come on then."
Kikyo and Kagome walked to Inuyasha. When Inuyasha caught sight of Kikyo, he jumped, ready to fight.
"No, Inuyasha, stop!"
"Huh? Why?"
"Kikyo is here as a friend. She wants to talk about what happened before she nailed you to that tree."
"Arrgg, I don't wanna talk about it."
"Please, Inuyasha, you must! Kikyo knows it was Naraku who tried to steal the Jewel from her. She just wants to talk to you. You must forgive her, too."
"Since when do you care so much, Kagome?"
"I care because I care," Kagome said indignantly, "I don't want to see either of you hurting."
"All right, fine. Let's talk Kikyo." When Inuyasha said the name Kikyo, his eyes softened. He covered for it quickly, but not too quickly for Kikyo to see. Kikyo felt this was going to go very well.
