This is, as far as I know, the only One Tree Hill fic with a K/K pairing.
Anyways, this is set during/after The Search for Something More... I think.
Oh, I like reviews, by the way. And it's really short. It's been sitting
around on my computer ever since I saw this ep. And the only reason I'm
posting it is because it's a SNOW DAY! Happy Snow Day, guys!
Keith polished the car, wiping the sweat from his forehead. Cars made sense to him. They broke, you could fix them. Simple as that. He sighed. But some things just didn't work that way. Like things with Karen for example.
He knew now that he definitely shouldn't drink around his brother. Keith frowned in remembrance of that night. He mentally adds Karen to the list of people he shouldn't drink around. He must've been very drunk to tell her what he'd been feeling for so long.
But what confused him even more was her lack of reaction. She just smiled and didn't say a word, a single word. And then, when he asked her about it, to try and recant his statement.She said that she didn't know what he was talking about.
Sometimes, he blamed himself. But, if Dan could see, and Lucas could see, and just about everyone could see it, then why couldn't Karen? He even told her. Maybe the fact that he was drunk and in pain when he said it discouraged her. Or maybe, maybe she was still hung up on his brother.
He hoped it wasn't the latter. Some things in life were just not fair. And he was used to unfairness. Keith was sick of always being the nice guy. His brother could be a jerk and people still liked him. People had always liked Dan better. The people in High School, his parents, Karen.
Keith never got a good break. And it seemed that Lucas followed in his footsteps. The older Scotts never got the luck or the glory. But that was life and he was used to it.
