Ryujin awoke in the middle of the night. His only guess was that it was late, past midnight perhaps. Something was amiss, and he has had a knack for sensing things. Slowly, he crept out of his cot in the tent he had set up the night before. His belt lay on the floor; he quietly reached down to pick it up. After he had it securely fastened around his waist, He went to pick up his two kodachi's. As he had the sword at waist height, a crossbow bolt ripped through the side of the tent, striking the saya of the sword directly, sending it flying from his grasp. Unarmed, he only hoped that his comrades were still alive.
Slowly he crept out of his tent and into Siraki's tent, and placed his palm over her face as he woke her. Ryujin mouthed the word 'assassin' to her, she nodded in response. Siraki, in a sudden movement rolled to the ground and picked her fauchard from it's resting place beside her cot. It started raining soon after. "Draw his fire, I need to get my sword!" ordered Ryu "No problem, any idea where he is?" she responded. "None, but he is a good shot.be careful."
With this Ryu kissed her quickly on the lips and ran back to his tent, as she ran out into the open. Several bolts ripped through his tent as he ran. He jumped for his sword, and rolled out of the tent, righting himself almost instantly. Apparently Siraki had caught his attention, for he was now shooting in a different direction.
Siraki was beating a practically straight path for the assassin, glaive in a jousting position. A bold ripped through her left leg, right above the knee, she began to fall. Before she could hit the ground, she hurled the glaive at him with all of her might, barely missing him. The assassin, garbed in all black, reloaded his weapon and prepared to finish her off. A crack of lightning was the last thing he saw.
Ryujin, perched in a high tree, jumped into the air with godlike power when his ally was hit. His blade held towards the sky in a strange position, attracted the lightning bolt, and almost seemingly empowered the blade. Gravity was all he needed; it gave him the needed momentum to strike his opponent well. Barely even cutting him, but enough to split the assassin's shirt, and draw blood was all that was needed. The electricity paralyzed him almost instantly, and Ryu brought the backside of his sword into his face at full speed. The assassin would live for now. "Siraki! Is it bad?" Ryu asked as he ran to her. "I'll live, it's not bad." He quickly dressed the wound, stitching it and wrapping it. He carried her into his tent and went to go check on his other friends. Aoshi was the only one out of 4 alive. Aoshi went to the temporarily paralyzed assassin, and shackled him. He was brought into Ryujin's tent, and commenced questioning him.
