Title: What Was Lost
Summary: Buffy thinks about her Angel
A/N: Ehhh I was bored again.
Buffy looked out the window. Her thoughts drifted to a certain tall dark and handsome vampire. She couldn't believe he had actually left. He didn't even say good-bye to her. After everything they had been through. She didn't understand him sometimes.
Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it OK
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
Her head hurt. Her stomach hurt. But most importantly, her heart hurt. She missed him so much. She felt so empty without him. Why did he have to leave? Did he not love her anymore? Well, that was stupid. Of course, he loved her! That was way he left in the first place. She so could not understand his way of thinking!
I need some distraction or a beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
Let me be empty and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight
She longed to be in his arms. She wanted to have him kissing her, hugging her, and just holding her telling her that everything in her life would be okay. She would miss him on her nightly patrols. She would miss their late night make out sessions outside her window. She would miss his seeing his face.
In the arms of the Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent revelrie
You're in the arms of the Angel; may you find some comfort here
She decided she had to move on. If he wasn't man enough to stay with her, then she wasn't going to sit and mope around about it. She wanted to go out. She wanted to party with her friends.
Would that be cheating on him?
She had to stop thinking about him. HE WAS GONE. FOREVER.
So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees
She wanted him back so badly. She just couldn't get over him. He was like a drug. She needed him to live. How was she ever going to go on without him. If she could just have one last kiss. If she could just tell him that she loved him. That she missed him. Anything!
