A/N: I'm not telling the first names of any of the characters in this first chapter. Sort of a challenge to see who can correctly guess the paring of this story. Email me with the right pairing and you could be in the story. This chapter will be short...

Summary: He wants her, She wants nobody. Can a certain Slytherin get the girl that he dreams about? Or will a Gryffindor win her heart?
At the Hogwarts Express the heads of almost every guy turned so they could stare at the beauty before them. Her fiery red curls framed her pale face perfectly. Her emerald green eyes sparkled in the light. She walked down the aisle, looking in the compartments until she found the person she was looking for. "Allo Potter," She said with a smirk on her face. "Sorry, have we meet?" The confused, messy haired boy with glasses asked her, while fully looking at all of her, "You look familiar but I can't say who you remind me of."
"If it isn't Potty and the gang. But wait! Where is the mudblood?" A voice said from the doorway. All heads in the compartment turned to see the owner of the voice, a boy with slivery-blonde hair and cold gray eyes with a smirk on his face. Potter was the first to reply to his statement. "Bugger off, Malfoy!"
"Tisk, tisk Potter, Talking like that to a prefect," Malfoy though for a minute, "I think I should take away house points for such language."
"Oh sod off Malfoy. I'm head girl this year," spoke the redhead girl. The blonde gave her a death glare then turned back to Potter and his gang, "Lucky that your little friend was here to save you, Potter!" He snapped at them before turning on his heel and walking down the corridor, looking for his next victim to pick on.
"Thanks for your help, but I would have been fine without it!" Said Potter. The girl was a little taken back by what he said but she didn't let any emotion show in her eyes, "Well then next time I won't bother." She turned around and walked out of the compartment just as the train pulled into the station.
The familiar voice of Professor Bathory could be heard, telling all the first years to go and wait by the boats. The girl went and found an empty carriage and sat back, waiting for the ride to Hogwarts so begin.
