A/N: It suddenly struck me that I'd never actually done any Inu-Yasha poetry... *hits self in head*. So, let's go!
Mirage of Mirrors (various POV's)
Inu-Yasha
---------
Watch the face of my shadows reap upon me
The blood of a foe that wraps itself around me
And endlessly debates against me...
Me... what is me?
Is it another deathwishing demon dedicated to blood?
Am I another victim to the punishments of fate?
Do I see as other see it? Or... have I truly gone mad?
My fury reeks its revenge upon any passerby,
And I can't control it, can't condemn it...
Just watch it take me over, and watch my body
Drown in blood.

You really understand nothing?
You really don't know how an ending and a beginning
Are nothing alike?
Please understand, Inu-chan... it is not my place to bear
One's troubles upon someone else.
I just want to know what you believe.
I just want to see your eyes again...
Not this cold-headed anger that breathes life into you once more!
Where have you gone, my love?
Am I beyond a simple argument now?

Please understand, it's not my place to be grand.
I face no mistakes in my life, none that I know of.
You, on the other hand, can bare witness to yourself
Without even knowing it.
You can see things no one else can!
It is why we stay close... it is why we will never let you go
No matter how hard you fight us, or deny us,
We shalln't leave you yet.
I have yet to fight a battle I don't wish to lose.
You haven't left me yet!
So don't fight me now!

Cowardice is not my option. Suicide could never be, either.
So what do I do with myself? Should I stand alone, bear the ends of time
With Hiroitatsue?
Do I stand alone against my fears and arguments
And Kirara...? Has she turned against me as well?
Do I know where to turn to anymore?
You have given me no home to live in, yet one home not to leave.
It is an argument of my own deceit.
What have I done to cause such anger in myself?
If I were not to face him alone... if I truly must trust, for once...

Emotion is worthless - plain as that.
It is a timeless debate over power and money
That throws us into despair.
It's an endless void that refuses to destroy what is not ours
But what we know of as our own.
I fear nothing, I feel nothing...
And that is why I am the most powerful.
You feel nothing, but you say much more than that.
You say you can destroy me with a single blow.
I say that you have gone mad with emotion, with a worthless ungering that feeds
Off of your soul.
Leave me be, and you shall soon be rid of emotions.
I shall see to that... personally.
