Annie's hand was shaking so much that the pills were jiggling around in the cup.
"Help me!" She heard the wailing from inside the room.
For a moment the nurse felt sorry for the poor girl, but then she remembered the stories. They couldn't be true, could they? How could this delicate girl be a killer?
"Blood! Please give me blood!"
Although, she did refuse to eat. She just kept asking for blood. Annie's own blood shivered at the thought of the girl - anyone for that matter - drinking blood.
Annie shook herself out of her thoughts and went back to her work. She carefully counted the pills and crushed them up into a powder, letting them disolve before pouring it into the IV drip bag. Curiosity got the better of her and Annie looked through the window at the girl. She was frail and weak, she looked almost dead hooked up to those tubes. She was almost dead. When they found her, she hadn't even been breathing and she didn't have a pulse. They rushed her to hospital and brought her back, but then she woke up and...
Annie didn't know the details. All she knew was that "Druscilla" was in the mental care institution and was classified "Dangerous."
"Annie." Came a voice from inside the room.
"Druscilla?" Annie answered.
"Come to me. I have a surprise for you. A very special surprise."
Annie knew she should pay no attention to it. The girl was crazy, and violent. Annie snuck another look at Druscilla, and their eyes met.
"Come, honey. The bee is ready." Druscilla said.
Annie felt her mind wandering uncontrollably. She lost all capability for reasonable thought and began to black out. Everything seemed unreal, like a dream, everything except for Druscilla's voice, Druscilla's eyes.
"Open the door, pet. Let me out of my cage."
The strange girl had an even stranger voice. Inticing, Annie thought.
"Do it. Get the key, unlock the door, Mummy will make it all better."
Annie reached into her pocket and brought out the set of keys, never taking her eyes off Druscilla's. She carefully felt the hard, cold pieces of metal until she found the right one. She took it and gingerly inserted it into the first lock. Then, reaching down to the combination, she turned the barrel 20 clicks to the left, 15 to the right, and 6 to the left again. Reaching down again to the third lock, she scanned her key-card and the door finally opened.
"Good girl. Come give the moon a hug."
Annie moved towards Druscilla, under her complete power.
"That's right poppet. Eat your curds and whey."
Annie walked right into her own death, and even welcomed it, under the killer vampiress' daze.
Druscilla sat there, carefully licking her fingers clean as she watched her baby child sleeping.
"Don't worry. It shan't hurt too long. You'll wake up soon, with a brand new face to show."
"Don't move."
Druscilla whipped around to see two men with crossbows pointed at her heart. One was scared and shaking, but the other held his weapon as steady as a rock.
She whimpered and morphed into her true face.
"Are we having a picnic? Is she invited?" Druscilla asked, motioning towards Annie.
"Annie!" The scared man gasped. He ran over to her, but before he could reach the nurse, Druscilla snapped his neck.
"Ants are eating the cake. We shall have to move." She sounded almost disappointed.
"I know your game, Druscilla. I know I can't hit you with this. I know you know it. I also know that you can't come any closer or I will be able to hit you. We seem to be at a stalemate."
"Ruff. Bad dog. Ruff."
The man chuckled, lit a match with his free hand and threw a grenade into Druscilla's cell.
"Things aren't always as they seem, love." He said, locking all three locks behind him.
