Yami opened his eyes on a seemingly normal day. He looked around at his familiar surroundings and at the sunlight shining in the window. He assumed that Yugi had gone already.
Yami got dressed and walked downstairs. Something was already wrong. There was no noise, no sounds. Domino was empty. He walked outside and saw a girl.
She was a strange girl. She wore a black strapless dress that went to her ankles, revealing only part of her enormous goth boots. There was a dark gray coat over it, tied together at the waist with red ribbons making two X shapes across the front. She had a hat on, cylinder-like in shape and leaning to the side, almost folded in half. Yami could only see part of her hands and her short white hair. Her white, soulless eyes glared over at him as he walked past.
"Yami." She said, cruel voice hissing.
Yami stopped.
"I brought you here. This is only the blind world of a spirit. Your body is back beyond the barrier between dimensions. Your hikari and...oh yes...the Queen of Thieves...they brought your body to a hospital. You were practically mauled. Bastet's magic became uncontrollable and dangerous. You tried to stop it...and gravely injured yourself in the process. I can see it...it's funny...your thin...frail human body is lying there...on a bed with wires on your chest to monitor your glass heart and a breathing mask over your face. Heh...they don't know if you're alive."
Yami ignored her and began to walk on. The girl scowled and flicked her wire whip at him. It curled around his neck and stopped him, like a dog to a leash.
"I didn't say you could leave."
Yami twitched at the sound of her voice.
"Before you go cavorting off and doing whatever you want, I should warn you...any humans you see here aside from me are not really human. They are the Flesh Eaters. They eat human flesh and leave nothing behind. But most will toy with you first. If you meet one, run as far away from them as you could."
The girl released him and vanished. Yami scoffed at the warning and walked around the empty Domino. Then, he saw a police officer. He ran over, trying to tell him about the strange girl.
But he saw the inky blackness and inhumanity in the man's eyes. And he knew that he should have listened to the girl's warning.
The man grabbed his arm with such force that Yami thought it was going to break.
//Am I going to die here?//
Yami cried out in pain and closed his eyes. He heard a *sploik* sound and cautiously opened one eye. There was a wire whip going through the flesh eater's head and the little golden ball bearing and spike on the end that anchored it to the stop sign next to them. The demon twitched and was reduced to dust. The girl jumped from her hiding spot and glared at Yami.
"I told you so. If you need me again...my name is Boogie Pop Phantom, but call me BoogiePop."
