What love DOESN'T tell us.

Hermione sighed as she stared across the courtyard at her fellow students, then suddenly her expression brightened, she had never noticed that graceful basin haircut, the dark soulful eyes and that beautiful mass of muscle.Gregory Goyle.

Surprised at herself, she turned away and walked to the common room, she sat down to her potions homework but her mind turned to potions class instead, she couldn't help remembering that day, the day that Snape, in a spiteful fit, had paired Gryffindors with Slytherins and she had to work with Gregory, she smiled at the rememberance. All 'Greg' had done was grunt but now as she thought of it, he was sensitive and felt that words were unnecessary, she sighed again, he was strong and silent and.and absolutely perfect.

So, she now did everything she could to learn about Gregory Goyle, she watched his every move and was the first to enter the Great Hall in the morning and only left when 'Greg' had moved off with Malfoy. She noticed his love of sweet things and she scoured the library for all cooking books and soon Goyle would find presents of cookies and cake wherever he went, he usually just gobbled them up and she would watch him with pride and longing, when she wasn't haunting the dungeons then she'd be looking up and memorizing the Goyle Family Tree.

Harry and Ron were very worried about her, she giggled and blushed when you spoke to her, she was always looking around in case she saw a glimpse of 'Greg' and she was always eager now to go to Potions. They followed the direction of her eyes and seriously worried if she was falling for Malfoy, when one or the other confronted her she'd toss her head and called them silly. She was always fidgety in their Common Room.as if she wanted to be somewhere else.

She couldn't sleep easily at night anymore, her mind was always on a certain empty head and her favourite dream was when 'Greg' had his arms around her and she was sinking into that lovely muscle. After another restless night, she woke up and felt different, she felt strong, she felt that she loved 'Greg' enough to tell him.

She twitchy all through breakfast, she spilled the milk, then her cornflakes and would have poured juice on her pancakes if Ron hadn't stopped her. She watched Goyle slink out of the Great Hall alone and felt that this was her chance. She got up hurriedly, knocking off Harry's glasses and announced that she had to go to the Library. Harry and Ron watched her almost run out with concerned expressions.

"Greg.ory!" she called after him in the hallway, he turned around at the sound of his name and blinked suspiciously at her. "Wot?" he grunted. "I.I just wanted to tell you.tell you that-" she broke off as Crabbe clumped over. 'Greg' turned and bent his head as if he wanted to whisper something in his ear but instead he kissed him deeply! Hermione watched, horrified, as Crabbe and 'Greg' entwined their fingers and walked off hand in hand, ignoring her.

She turned and ran to the library and cried among her faithful books. Then she wiped her tears and made a resolution that she would never like another boy again. She sighed as she walked to the window and stared across the courtyard. Her expression brightened, she had never noticed that crop of curly red hair and that serious expression before. She just hadn't noticed the most perfect boy.Percy Weasley.
