He never calls her Liz anymore. It's always Cutler or Crewman.
She knows why--she is a living reminder of his lost sister. His lost innocence.
Sometimes he forgets. He opens his mouth and begins to shape the word. Then she sees the flash of memory in his eyes, an instant before they harden. He looks away, mumbles whatever he has to say, and makes an excuse to escape her presence.
A man open and friendly has become guarded and remote. With her, anyway.
She understands, but she hates feeling guilty over something she couldn't control.
It's her name too.
