[Author's Note/Disclaimer] Hello, everybody! This is my first Mediator fan fiction; however, I've also written a few other fan fics, two of which are in the BookSweep section of FanFiction.net (titled Shadow Girl, books One and Two). Now for the disclaimer: This fan fiction is based on the Mediator book series, written by Meg Cabot under the pseudonym Jenny Carroll. Therefore, all of the characters in this fic are property of Meg. The plot of the fic is the only thing that belongs to me. Thank you and enjoy the fic ^^ [Katie]
Come Full Circle
[A Mediator Fan Fiction]

[Prologue]
A young man, aged around sixteen, opened his eyes and surveyed his surroundings. He was standing in a corridor, stretching for eternity before him, stretching for eternity behind. Gray fog curled around his ankles and covered whatever floor there was. Another shifting gone without a problem. Now for part two.
He slipped a photograph out of his back pocket. It was a school photo, one that hadn't been easy to obtain. The photograph was almost as hard to find as the information that brought him here. Though it often didn't show, he hated the emptiness of this endless hallway. But this was a desperate attempt to save his sanity. He couldn't go on living the way things were. Something had to change.
He closed his eyes again, visualizing the girl in the picture. Long, blonde hair. A big smile. Bright eyes. He concentrated, hoping that what he was doing would work, praying, begging…
"Who are you?"
He opened his eyes, and to his great satisfaction, saw the girl in the photograph standing in front of him. She looked around the hallway. "I remember this place," she said slowly. "I came here…when I…when I was…"
He cleared his throat. "Are you happy here? I mean, in your afterlife?"
The girl stared at him for a few minutes. Then she shook her head. "No. I'm not." She sighed. "All I've wanted, since I died…was my life back."
The boy nodded. "All right. Now tell me this." He looked at her seriously. "Are you familiar with one Susannah Simon?"
The girl's gray eyes narrowed. "She's the one who sent me here."
"I see."
"She…she exorcised me," the girl choked out. "She took over my life."
"And all you want is your life back." The girl nodded. "What if I told you that you could get your life back, and get revenge on Susannah…all in one shot?"
The girl shook her head. "That isn't possible…" She looked at the boy. "Is it?"
"I could help you do it. But listen up, sweetheart," he said. "Revenge comes at a price. Are you willing to pay?"
The girl looked away for a moment, her eyebrows knitted together in thought. Finally, she looked back at the boy.
"I'll do it."
