Save the Last Dance

Disclaimer: I don't own anything in this story accept the plot! I don't own the title either!

Lizzie looked down at her gown sadly. This was her last dance EVER, and Gordo had a date already.

"Oh Mom I don't know if I want to go to the dance if I can't go with Gordo!" Lizzie told her mom sadly. Her mom knew all about the situation with Gordo and contemplated her words before she spoke.

"Honey, sometimes you can't get everything out of life that you want to and right now this is one of those times for you. I'm sorry baby but you will have a splendid time without Gordo at the dance!"

"No, I know I won't Ethan isn't as fun as Gordo is. Mom, that is why I love Gordo because I know I will always have an awesome time with him!"

" Oh, I know baby. I know." Her mom said reassuringly.

"Earth to Lizay!" Ethan said impatiently. "You have been ignoring me the whole Prom what is going on?"

"What, Oh sorry Ethan I am just a little distracted that's all." Lizzie said sincerely. She really was distracted by Gordo and his date, Kate Sanders.

"Oh, okay Lizzie." Ethan was apparently bored to death by his date that was to distracted to dance with him.

Right when Lizzie was about to leave an announcement came on the speaker.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. This is the last dance of the evening so grab your partner and dance, dance, dance!" The person on the speaker said with way to much enthusiasm.

"Lizay…" Ethan started but got interrupted by Gordo tapping Lizzie on the shoulder.

"May I have this dance?" Gordo asked sheepishly.

"Of course you can." Lizzie's heart was beating so fast she thought it might come out of her chest all together.

"I told you I'd save the last dance for you." Gordo said as they started to dance.

"I knew you would. You're my hero! Ethan was getting pretty boring."

"I could tell." All of a sudden the music stopped and the dance was over.

"Gordo, I am really going to miss you when we go off to college. I love you Gordo and I want to spend the rest of my life with you!"
