-An InuYasha Christmas-
The holidays were fast approaching,
And everyone was excited.
Lovely carols did Kagome sing
And thanks to Sango the tree was lighted.
Miroku refrained from squeezing butts
As InuYasha moped.
And Shippo chowed down on chestnuts
While Kouga tossed Inu a bar of soap. (pee-uuu)
The gifts were placed gently under the tree.
For great presents from Santa did they all pray
The gifts were there for all to see
But InuYasha was scared. What to get Kagome?
He panicked and paced
'Til the wee hours of the morn.
What a dilemma what which he was faced,
For from Kagome he was sure to face scorn.
"Tomorrow is Christmas!" InuYasha did shout.
Then Shippo jumped on his back, scaring him silly
Inu whacked him one good, and Shippo did pout
Plus the knock on the head, Shippo's tummy was upset because he ate
Miroku's chili.
"Do you think Kagome'll like my gift?"
Shippo said after a big burp.
InuYasha was scared that between them, this would cause a rift
For a gift she would not receive from him, but she'd get one from that
twerp.
As the day went on, he asked his friends for advice.
Kouga told him point blank that he was screwed
While Sango yelled at him, for to Inu he was not very nice,
And then at Inu himself, for waiting this long was extremely rude.
So the day went on
And InuYasha felt bad.
He felt worse than a con
For he knew that without a gift from him Kagome would be quite sad.
Christmas day was now here!
Shippo was the first awake.
He woke everyone else up, but all felt good cheer.
They all stampeded t'wards the tree, with such excitement the earth did
quake.
Kagome got Sango a book about dealing with sexual harassment.
While from Sango Kagome got a new bow.
She loved it, even though it was slightly bent.
For Miroku, a new cover for his Kataana Kagome did sew.
And for her, he salvaged her Math textbook
For Shippo, Kagome gave a box of lollipops.
And to her was a note: "Mary Krismass Kagome, I luv yoo" she loved it,
though crude it
did look.
From Kouga was a card and on the front was a cop.
And on the inside it read, "I'm arrested by your love."
"Kouga how sweet!" Kagome did squeal.
And she handed him his gift of warm, fuzzy socks, which fit like a glove.
That is, when he finally figured out how to remove the sticker seal.
"Where's InuYasha?" Kagome asked.
For a few minutes all did search.
At his favorite tree was searched last.
And sure enough, there he was, at his favorite perch.
InuYasha looked sadly at the cheery Kagome
He leapt from the tree, bouquet of mangled weeds and frost-bitten flowers
in hand.
"Sorry Kagome, but for these I did not pay.
I picked these for you from this snow covered land."
Kagome grinned and hugged the hanyou
"Silly." she said kindly. "It's gift enough that you though of me."
Even Kouga had to smile at the happy two.
And so, as an end note, Merry Christmas, I say to thee.
