Authors Notes: All feedback and suggestions welcome and will be answered.  My muse has many more stories in store for us. This came to me during a day of hanging Christmas lights. To small to bother my over worked beta so errors are mine and mine alone.

Lights of Home

Snowflakes drift quietly down to earth covering all. Just as I hide my pain beneath a

covering of humor and sarcasm.

Lights shine out from my home, a welcoming beacon to those in the snow.

Icicles hang from the eves, reflecting the lights of my street, many small prisms

sparkle in the night.

Multitudes of Christmas lights strung with care, blurred by my tears, each one

now surrounded by a halo of color.

The light from the flames of the fireplace, a symbol for the warmth I feel for my friends, who are so like my family.
