This is my version of what I believe should've happened at the end of S1E14, Broken, with Kate and Lucy a.k.a. Kacy. **Updated** I've added more stand alone chapters because they were in my head.

Lucy told Ernie a beautiful story about the first time she met Kate, but what about Kate's point of view? What happened during her meeting on the island, what was her life like in DC and why does Tennant ship Kacy so hard? Kacy all the way with a touch of Tenstler friendship thrown in, follows canon with a wee bit of creative history bending that honestly just makes sense.

When Tennant decides to throw a Halloween party, Kate is excited for the chance to dress up with her girlfriend. So, why is Lucy not so excited about the idea? A fluffy little one-shot to pass the time with Kacy domestic goodness and a sprinkle of Tenstler friendship goals.

She's even been the kicked puppy who has taken an emotional and physical beating. The question is, who will she become when it all comes crashing down? No matter how hard Kate tries to talk to Lucy, nothing works. Maybe it's time to really move on, to give herself the opportunity to get over the break-up by putting some distance between them.
