To die, or not to die, that is the question for Harry Potter at the moment.
To die would mean devastating his friends, the Weasley family and Remus. It would also mean the end of the world.
But, here's where the 'but' comes in, not to die would mean putting all those close to him in danger. Which would mean more deaths from those he love and care about. Just because he is Number 1 on Voldemort's 'Must Kill' hit list.
Choices, choices.
Harry looked at his wrist. Then his pocket knife.
His mind was fighting a major battle inside his head.
'Do it,' the weary part of his brain said.
'Don't,' the logical part of his brain told him.
He placed the knife on his wrist.
'Yes, do it,' the weary part encouraged him.
'Don't. Where's your Gryffindor courage to face anything that's thrown at you gone to, Harry?" The logical part stopped him as he moved his knife to cut his wrist.
'Let him do it. He's sick of everything already. Put him out of his misery,' Weary snapped.
'Fine. But if he regrets it after seeing everyone mourn over his death...,' Logic trailed off.
Harry stopped. He hasn't exactly thought of that.
At that moment, Intelligent came into the picture.
'How about this, we let him live for one more year, then we will see if he still wants to die or not.' Intelligent told Weary and Logic.
'Fair enough,' Weary and Logic agreed. Then the 3 of them silenced. Harry could have heard a pin drop.
He put his knife down and went to bed, lying there as he stared at the ceiling. He stayed like that until he fell asleep half an hour later.

Author's Notes: I am sorry for making the Prologue so short. I promise that I will try to make Chapter 1 a little longer. In case you haven't noticed, Harry tried to do it in the middle of the night. Say, 3 AM? In the meantime, reviews would be much appreciated!
