Naota ran down the deserted hallway. "Maybe Haruko came back!" he thought. SLAM! Naota now lay on his back, dazed and somewhat disoriented. "What-the-hell?! Oh, hey Naota!" Ninamori said as she closed her locker. The locker that had nearly decapitated him moments earlier. "Huh? Ninamori what were you trying to do, kill me?" he groaned as he pushed himself up onto one elbow. "If I were trying to kill you I wouldn't waste my time with stupid locker doors," she joked. "Come on you're gonna be later than you already are!" "I'm not going to class, I've been called home," he said cautiously. "Oh," she said softly. "Why? I hope nothing bad has happened. Well, call me later, we need to talk." She said as she waved and ran down the now deserted corridor.
What did she mean by 'We need to talk'? Naota ran the rest of the way home. He only stopped once when a speeding car nearly destroyed his tiny existence. By the time he reached home he was panting and very red in the face.
He slipped off his shoes and slid inside. "Hello son," Kamon said casually. "Someone called," there was a long pause and Naota held his breathe. "Mamimi, she sends her greetings." "Thanks dad." Naota said in an upset tone. He sulked into his room. So THAT'S why I ran home? Poo! A small tear ran down his left cheek. He wiped it away, suddenly realizing how much he missed Haruko. "It's not fair! I loved her." He whispered to himself. "She'll come back, I just know it." Naota walked to the phone, picked it up and dialed Ninamoris number. "Hello, is Ninamori there?" "Yes, one monent," a voice answered sweetly. "Hey Naota!" Ninamori said cheerfully. "Hi, you said we needed to talk. So spill." He griped. "Oh, right. Meet me at the in bridge in 20 minutes!" she said quickly and hung up. Naota was now confused as hell. He pulled his shoes on and ran to the bridge. When he got there Ninamori stood by the water- waiting. "Naota, you came!" she ran and embraced him. "Uh, hi." he hugged her after 10 seconds of pure confusion. "So, what did you need to talk about?" he said annoyed. Ninamori looked up at him and then to the ground. Suddenly Naota felt something warm and soft pressing to his lips. It took him 3 seconds to understand, and kissed her back. Now she looked p at him, eyes glassy and breathless she said, "I love you Naota, I always have." Her arms flung around his slender waist, gently. Naota found himself resting against her just as Haruko had done to him, three years in the past.
Yes I know, short chapter. But, I've already written some of the others so PLEASE PLEASE review!!! More to come! Thank you for reading!
