IceQueen: Wow. I haven't written in a long time. This is my first Takari so
please be nice. It's sorta fluffy but hey, I like it. *grin.* anyway, hope
you like it and please review. Random note: Kari might be a little OOC.
Sorry if she is. I haven't seen the show in a while.
~You're the kind of friend who always bends when I'm broken
Like remember when
You took my heart and put it back together again~
"Kari, what's wrong?" I turned my head to see the comforting sight of my best friend.
"Hey, TK. Remember that guy I told you I like?" He nodded. "Well, he just asked Yolei out." I leaned back, banging my head against the wall repeatedly. "Stupid. I was so stupid. How could I have thought he liked me?"
"You're not stupid. He's the one's who's stupid for not liking you." He smiled that smile that melted the hearts of hundreds of girls everyday. I sighed, still not sure. TK had to say that. He was my best friend. His smile disappeared as I frowned. "Come on," he said, standing up and putting out his hand. "I'll buy you a soda to cheer you up."
"Thanks," I replied, taking his hand.
~You're the kind of guy whose hands and mind send shivers up and down my
spine
You took my heart and put it back together again~
We walked inside the cafeteria and sat down. "I'll be right back with your soda," he said, smiling again. I nodded and watched him walk off. TK had always been there for me. He was the greatest friend anyone could ever have. He was always helping me and ready to cheer me up when I was down. He was my best friend.
~ I've been wasting time with clueless guys
But now it's over
Let me tell you why
I'm through
I've meet someone new
Just like you~
"Here you go," he said, interrupting my thoughts. He handed me a coke and slid into the seat beside me. "Now who was this guy?"
I blushed. "Jake?"
TK raised an eyebrow. "Kari, you deserve so much better than that idiot."
I blushed again. "Like who?"
He turned his blue eyed gaze away from me and I saw a hint of a blush. "Like me."
~ You're the kind of guy that blows my mind
But now it's my turn
You've been right in front of me
Everything I need
Why didn't I see? ~
I gasped. TK like me? It fit perfectly though. The image of his smile, that heart melting smile, flashed into my mind. Of course! Why didn't I see it before! It had been right in front of me the whole time. He had always been there.
~You're it
You're the ultimate
It's automatic.
I'm sure of it
No lie
So don't even try
To tell me that you're not the guy
Cuz I've been waiting all my life
For someone just like you
But you're it
You're the ultimate, you~
"Confession time," he said, turning back to me. "Kari, I have always loved you. Ever since we were little. Though I guess you don't feel the same. I got to go." He stood up and turned to the door.
"TK, wait," I said, standing up as well and putting my hand on his shoulder.
"What?"
I leaned over and kissed him gently on the lips. "I love you too. I always have and always will."
