Disclaimer: Nope I don't own Escaflowne, I wish I did then I wouldn't have to go to school or work. I could just sit around and do nothing all day!! Anyway ...so...yeah!

In the years that followed the Destiny War, a new and greater Zaibach was formed.  The new leader of this country is none other then Lord Dilandau Albatou himself.  After the war, Dilandau and his Dragon Slayers decided to lay low and wait for things to simmer down.  Three years later they resurfaced, stronger then ever.  Zaibach took Gaea by surprise and managed to take control of the three main countries of Gaea; Fanelia, Asturia and Freid.  The smaller countries became fearful and submitted.  Van, Merle, Allen, Millerna, Dryden and Chid were taken prisoner.

*Somewhere deep in the dungeons of Zaibach .*

"Well, well, well, king Van De Fanel!  How is Fanelia?  It was a little on the crispy side last time I saw it," Said Dilandau with mocked pleasantry.  "Dilandau you monster, I should have known," spat Van venomously.  "That is king Dilandau to you."  Before any one could say anything else, Miguel came in.  "My apologies your majesty, but we've located the girl requesting permission to retrieve her."  "Excellent! However I shall go and get her myself."  "As you wish Dilandau-sama"

With that Miguel Bowed and left.  Dilandau turned his attention back to his "guests".  "As much as I would love to stay and chat with you, I must go retrieve my future Queen."  He quickly turned and walked out of the cell.  As he proceeded down the hallway, Dilandau stopped to look out a window at his prosperous country.  A dreamy look crossed his face.  "Soon Hitomi, very soon, I will have you back and you will then take your place at my side as my Queen!"
