"So how do you feel about that?" He asked once again.

'How the hell does he think I feel, leaving the second place I hate most in the world only to return to the one place I hate most in the world…fucking wonderful.' Tristan thought bitterly to himself.

His father rang yesterday and told him that he was to return to Hartford for Christmas. Not that his parents would actually notice whether he was there or not. They would be too caught up in their own social affairs and work to care or even wonder for one second how their son is doing. It's not like the Dugrey's even celebrated Christmas as a family either, they never had. Sure his elder brother, little sister and himself got everything they could ever dream of, in material possessions that is. Just once Tristan wished that his whole family could sit down for Christmas dinner together and just be happy. He knew it was corny but that's how he felt, and he also knew that no matter how nice it sounded it would never happen. Because in reality his family, in fact all the rich and prestigious families in the Hartford area were all the same, to them, showing any emotion would be seen as a sign of weakness. So for Tristan it was time to put on this façade again, the one he had worked so hard to take down.

That night Tristan found it impossible to sleep, he couldn't stop thinking about her. The one and only girl he has ever loved and ever will love. But he knew she hated him, she must, after all he put her through and what he did to her, he even hated himself. He reached over to his side, switched on the lamp and opened the drawer of his side table and pulled out a photo, he just laid there all night long staring at the photo of him and the girl he loved so much, his arms wrapped around her small frame, both with huge goofy grins on their faces.

Ok so I know that was very, very, very short and trust me it will never be that short ever again. I just needed to set the story up, I don't really know where it's headed yet but I have a vague idea of what I'm going to write for the next chapter.

This is my first Fic ever so please be nice! Reviews and constructive criticism are more than welcomed and very much appreciated.
