"I'm Sorry"

Suzie went to a party. There were bright lights and loud music. There was also drinking.

"I only had one drink!"

Suddenly, everything started to go dark and blurry. She couldn't see anybody's face, just bodies walking aimlessly around the room.

"Help!"

Nobody was listening. That was when everything went black. She started feeling around the room, searching for something she could lean against because she started to feel queasy.

She fell onto the floor. Only. it wasn't the floor anymore. It had become complete emptiness. She kept falling, falling, falling. She was getting sleepier with every second. She had to drive home now; she was feeling too bad.

"Don't do this to me!"

She heard voices as she was drifting in and out of her consciousness.

"She's not going to make it. There's nothing we can do. I'm sorry."

She started crying, except the tears wouldn't come. She was a barren ball of mess with no excuses to help her.

She heard her mother's voice call to her.

"How did such a thing happen?"

She could only mutter two inconceivable words through her mental craziness:

"I'm sorry."

The words endlessly echoed in her head and just wouldn't stop.

"I'm sorry."

Visions of her mother filled her head. She was bent over her daughter in a state of shock, crying.

"Don't do this to me. Don't take my daughter away like this."

She tried to move, but it did no good.

"It's not possible. You can't do this!"

She was drifting out.

"I can't let this happen. I'm begging you, God!"

Then. she was gone.

"I'm sorry."
