When Ronit Krushka, the Rav’s estranged daughter, discovers her father has passed away, she makes the coureageous decision to return to her hometown, Hendon and finds herself being reminded of growing up as an orthodox jew. If that wasn’t a trip down memory lane in itself, Ronit also finds herself faced with her first love, Esti Kuperman, who has never been free from hurt since.

Three years have passed since Ronit left the small Orthodox Jewish community in North London, where she buried her father and left her lover Esti Kuperman. She thought she was moving on, until one day she receives a message from Esti. Surprised and excited, Ronit messages her back and they begin talking regularly, building upon the abandoned foundations of their relationship.

Esti has left her community to raise her daughter on her own. Though she still keeps in contact with her family & Ronit, she is firm about keeping some distance as she discovers who she truly is without the confines of her community or past relationships. Reflecting back on memories from her youth, she prepares to see Ronit again for the first time since the birth of her daughter.
