After barely surviving both Raccoon City,Rockfort Island,and Antartica,Claire Redfield and her brother go their seperate ways once they reach Montana.Chris goes to find his cousen Matthew,while Claire goes back to her university.All goes well until Claire begins bleeding,and not knowing why.It's not the only strange thing that has been happening to her since she got back from Antartica.She has sudden panic attacks and can get easily tempered.These begin to bother her.She reports to the doctor,and he says it is nothing he has ever seen before.Tiny particles are infecting her blood cells.Claire begins wondering if the T or G-Virus is in her.Then she thinks no,I mean she'd be mutated by now.The docter takes her blood samples over to the biggest hospital and medical research center in the world,owned and ran by Umbrella and it's employees.They regret to inform Claire that there is indeed...another virus.The 'Bloodshot Virus' as it is called because it's major sideaffect is bloodshot eyes,was created by a teenager that happened to be a genus.The boy was supposed to create a simple,yet powerful flu virus,but instead,he created an even more powerful virus stronger than both the T and G-Virus put together!How the virus got in her,that remains unanswered,but the doctors do say there is a whole case of anti-viruses for the bloodshot virus.Yet,the anti-virus is in a mutated town (similar to Raccoon City) named Powell Town located in West Virginia.The doctors tell Claire that they are not going to that city whatsoever.Claire takes matters into her own hands.She calls up Chris and tell's him the whole story.Chris contacts surviving S.T.A.R.S. Member and friend,Jill Valentine,and Chris's and Claire's cousen that works at the L.A. Police Department.The four plan to head down to the bloodshot infested town.As they begin to leave and get on the chopper,Claire gets a phone call from that doctor.He tell's her that she has exactly thirty-six hours before to virus completely takes over her body.
