WHAT HIDES IN THE CINDERSAP FOREST? Something came and consumed Marnie's animals, but it was not satisfied. Shane stares into the void full of trees and knows this thing is watching him. To what end, he does not know. Now the valley is under the oppressive reign of terror of this dark shadow of fear.

Estella is ill and drops her work early to go rest inside. Alex is worried about her, so he prepares a bath.

Elliott gets into a bar fight, luckily Harvey is there to stitch him up after.

After the events of Bad Habits, the two settle in for that drink. As the hours go by, the feelings rush in. Elliott asks Harvey to dance.

He wrapped his arms around the man's waist and pulled him closer. "Okay?" Elliott whispered breathlessly, pulling away for a moment. "Okay." Harvey replied, grabbing at his hair and pulling him closer again. Fire, it was fire that fueled them.

Elliott has left the valley alone to visit his mother in Zuzu City. His mental state is seeming to be more trouble these days and he's only going to try and clear some ghosts. It's only three days but when you feel helpless, what else do you do? You break. (Trigger warnings: Self harm, drinking, etc. please take care of yourself!)

It's a late night and Harvey wakes up anxious. Sometimes, time with your thoughts are all you need. (Trigger warnings apply, Self harm on topic!)

The thumping of bare feet on pavement. The fog over the mountains. Sometimes, you just can't deny the truth, so you have to embrace it.

"Elliott, as your doctor and your friend. Are you thinking about hurting yourself?" Elliott laughed, the sound full of mirth as he swirled his gin in his glass. Harvey watched him carefully. "I'm a writer, what do you think?"

The farmer was in trouble. Elliott knew it, he hadn't seen the girl in hours when typically, she'd be running around town with something shiny in her hands. It was already after 4pm and he hadn't seen her. He waited at the mountain base outside of Robin's shop. What could be done?

He came into the valley with no fanfare, greeted only by the mayor and the carpenter. To the townsfolk he'd seemed to just manifest one night. He was never seen, yet his presence could be felt everywhere. To call his land a farm was a disservice for it was a garden. He'd needed no wizard's translation to understand, and no brew, for in the end he was alone the essence the forest...

Sequel to Waiting for Catastrophes. My goal is for this to be readable as a standalone, but might be helpful if you read WFC first. Sebastian wakes up not knowing where he is or what's happened to him over the last six years. Is he living in an alternative reality, or has something terrible happened to him? But more importantly how is he going to get through this?

I visited The Valley a lot as a kid, my grandfather was always apart of my life. When he died my visits to The Valley stopped and as the years went on my memories became buried. Fifteen years later I decided to leave Joja Corp., tired of, how my grandfather put it, 'the burden of modern day life'. I opened the letter he left to find a deed to his farm.

Sebastian and Estella are enjoying their summer together. They are caught on a compromising situation.
