Prologue: Rescue
As Sonic raced towards Eggman's base, he knew something big was going down. He had gotten all the chaos emeralds, and kidnapped Cream as well. As he sped towards the base, Sonic couldn't help but think, He chuckled and said to himself, "Won't he ever learn?" He narrowed his eyes a bit as he saw the outer walls of the base coming up towards him, and he started to speed up a bit. Up in the air, following in the Tornado, Tails and Amy were looking ahead; ready to help Sonic out with the raid. Amy said to Tails as she looked around, "I hope Cream is ok. After what happened to her Mother, I'm really worried about her and Cheese." Tails just nodded as he flew, worrying as well. He and Amy were going to visit Cream and her mother when they heard a gunshot. He got to the house and saw Cream's Mother on the ground, holding her leg. Tails told Amy to stay with her, and he want out to try and look for who did it, but they were gone. He went back to the house, and Amy was wrapping a cloth around the wound, to stop the blood flow. Amy looked up at him and asked, "Who did this?" Tails shook his head, as Cream's Mother said to them, "I was making lunch while Cream was playing outside, and I heard a noise in the house. When I went to go see what it was, I saw something white pass in front of me, and I heard the gunshot, and I fell. He was a White Skunk boy, wearing a black bodysuit. He said he needed my daughter, and then he left, after grabbing her. He was as fast as Sonic." Tails looked a little shocked, as did Amy. Tails said to Amy, "Stay with her, I'm going to go get Sonic, ok?" Amy nodded as Tails ran out of the house.
Amy's voice snapped Tails out of his thoughts as she said, "We're at the base Tails." He nodded and came in lower, firing on some of the turrets that were attacking Sonic, blowing them up. As he flew, some other turrets turned and started to fire on him. Amy screamed when a few shots hit right under where she was sitting. Tails looked back at her and said, "Are you ok?" She nodded and answered, "Yeah, they just came really close." Tails then saw Sonic was having some trouble with Eggman's bots, so he fired a missile that split open, a power ring falling out that Sonic caught. He then started to spin, ripping through the robots like they were nothing. As Tails watched this, a few shots hit the propeller, making the plane loose control. He quickly pulled up on the stick; trying to make the plane level out before they hit the ground. It did at the last second, and they started to roll on the ground, Tails sighed a little, until Amy said, "We're going to hit that rock!" He looked and saw the huge bolder coming at them, and he tried to make the plane stop, but it was going much to fast. He cried out, "I can't stop it!" As Amy covered her head. At the last second, they saw the rock split apart and break apart. The plane finally stopped and they both looked up and saw Knuckles standing there, looking at the base. Tails said to him, "Thanks Knuckles!" But he just looked ahead to the base, not even looking back at them. Amy crossed her arms and said to Tails, "He really needs an attitude adjustment." Tails smiled a little, as Knuckles said under his breath, "He's really gone too far this time..."
