A Simple Yet Memorable Night

The night sky was nippy and full of stars.
"Oh Inuyasha, it's such a beautiful night!" said Kagome in a dreamy way. She clutched his arm. "Do you think so too?" He looked up at the sky.
"Yah." He replied. I came out of the dense trees to find him with his arm around her.
"Hum, Inuyasha and Kagome eh?" I said quietly to myself. A gentle hand griped my shoulder.
"We should leave them alone Shippo." I turned around. Mirocu stood looking out at the couple.
"Miroku," I said tugging his kimono. "Do you really think their, well, MENT each other?" Miroku did not reply quickly.
"Well Shippo," he said reassuringly "there is no person really MENT for each other. It depends on them. It's do they think their right for each other. I have no real say on who they should like or not." I looked at Kagome and Inuyasha. 'Inuyasha was such a meanie around other people. I never really thought he had a nice side to him. But I guess Kagome, or the re-incarnation of Kikyo, was the only one to bring that side out.' When I saw Miroku walk back into the trees I decided to follow. I took one last glance at them. Personally I thought they were too close, but if they like each other like this, then there is no reason for me to question it. "Hey Miroku," I said in spite of myself "Do, I mean, do you think Inuyasha is just well, in love with Kagome because she's just like Kikyo?" Miroku looked stunned.
"My Shippo! What gives you that idea?" he replied. I stopped and looked at the ground. I kicked a pebble.
"Well, you know, Inuyasha is always so, well, mean to Kagome and now he looks like he's in LOVE with her." Mirocu smiled.
"Well Shippo I know one thing, it's not because Kagome is the re- incarnation of Kikyo, but, well love works in strange ways." I raised an eyebrow.
"My dear Shippo, you will learn soon, for there is more then one fox deamon in the world." I started waking again.
'Me? Fall in love?' I looked up at the sky; for this was the same sky Inuyasha and Kagome were looking out into. 'Could I, Shippo, the tiny fox deamon, fall in love too?'
