Just A Child
Author's Note: Okay this one is a little weird, I just sort of sat down and started writing and this is what came out, so I really can't give you much of an author's note. I can however give you a disclaimer: I do not I repeat do not own these characters, J.K. Rowling does. And just so everyone knows these characters do not exist outside of your television or your reading material, sorry.
He sees her standing there. She no longer runs when she sees him. Her hair is so red that he could spot her from miles away; he likes that. He's used to standing out and now he knows that he is not alone. She seems, changed since he left Hogwarts, or maybe he has changed.
She is now taller than him and could probably hurt him with her own bare hands if she wanted to; she's had a lot of practice. She had taken on Crabbe once, and he went to the hospital with a broken arm and a few cracked ribs.
He walks up to her, and she greets him happily. He finds himself lost in her eyes, but she seems to not notice. She reaches up and touches the scar on his forehead, then reaches down to her collarbone.
Her scar is not shaped like a lightning bolt; it has no shape at all. She buries her head into his chest and cries. Her tears wet his shirt and seep through to his skin; he feels as if he's part of her.
He cups her chin in her hands and kisses her; he doesn't know why all he knows is that he wanted to. She doesn't fight him, yet kisses him back, his head is spinning, he's floating, he feels happier than if he played on a national Quidditch team.
They are so enamored with one another they do not hear the door open. Ron stands staring at his best friend and his sister. His ears turn red and he lunges at Harry, Ginny tries to help but is thrown to the side by her brother.
Ron lifts himself from off Harry, Harry's lip and nose is bleeding. 'How could you?' Ron bellows, 'first Hermoine and now Ginny you are poison and you know it.'
Harry stares at his friend his mouth agape, pretending not to understand, but he does. It was about a year ago when he told Hermoine he loved her, and about two months after that she was dead. It was all Harry's fault he lead the Dark Lord right to her. Ron had never forgiven him.
'I-I-don't-under-understand,' Harry sputters, blood splattering from his cut lip.
Ron had never felt angrier in his life, he loved Hermoine and Harry knew it. Harry had never loved Hermoine she was just another woman to comfort him. Poor Harry Potter, with his lightning bolt scar and his terrible life. Did he ever once think that what he did affected other?
'GO!' Ron shouts, 'and if you come near my sister again I will kill you myself and save Voldermort the trouble!'
He turns on his sister ready to yell, but stops. She looks so frail now so weak. What happened to the girl who had fought Death Eaters without a wand, because she was no longer in the room with him. No now he sat in a room with a scared young girl, who had been brought down to the Chamber of Secrets by a lying diary, a little girl who would run away whenever Harry Potter would come within sight. She was just a child.
