Hey I haven't written in a while though I promise some wicked awesome Harry Potter stories now that I have time to write. However I am officially scrapping Kickin' Down Heavens Door and a new story similar to it will appear soon, but better. This story was inspired by a song we're doing in our indoor drumline show, not a songfic, but it has the song in it. The song is "Just Kiss Me" a song by Harry Connick Jr. for red light, blue light. This is an up tempo jazzy song that is awesome and I think everyone should listen to, so listen to it. By the way James and Lily only, no Sirius (sniffle), Remus, or Peter in this story either. Well read this and if you hear the song it will make more sense, I may turn it into a song fic.

The Gryffindor common room lay silent with the exception of a crackling fire and a fiery red-head turning the pages of her arithmancy book. James Potter, a mischievous seventh-year, sat quietly at the top of the stairs to his dormitory, admiring the girl he had liked for five years from afar. Thank God for Hogsmeade, so he could admire her and possibly make a move without Sirius and Remus snickering.
James' eyes followed Lily as she stood up and walked over to her radio and turned it on. Then James' mind, once again, hatched a clever plan as he grinned mischievously. He got up, walked casually down the stairs as sat on the sofa next to Lily, as he did this, she gave him the most wary look he'd ever seen. After no response, just a grin, she continued studying.
As she did this James waved his wand toward the radio and changed it to a more "appropriate" song to set the mood. Lily's head snapped up as she gave an incredulous look then smiled, "I didn't know anyone else listened to Harry Connick Jr. , this is one of my favorites."
"Me too." he grinned as he got up and walked over to her and pulled her up from her chair. "Now dance with me."
"I will not you, you-" Lily was cut off by James as he put a finger over her mouth. Then he put her arm around his neck and held her other hand as he wrapped his arm around her waist, and they started dancing to the jazzy tempo. She got comfortable as they touched forehead with forehead, nose to nose, their lips only inches apart. And James sang to her and she was very happy that this song lasted more than four minutes. James couldn't believe he was actually this close to her, looking into her intense green eyes.
They danced despite the odd looks from first and second years. Eventually the song ended and they parted, but only their heads. James grinned, "Now Miss Evans I had absolutely no idea you could dance so well."
"Just get to the point Ja-" and quickly James pulled her in and pressed his lips to hers. Lily wrapped both arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. He wrapped his arms tighter around her waist to bring their bodies closer. This kiss tasted so sweet and both never wanted it to end.
And hour later, Lily and James snuggled in James' favorite armchair by the fair, fast asleep. But as Lily shifted, James woke up and looked at her. She was even more beautiful asleep. And he whispered, so as not to wake her, "I love you Lily." But heard her reply,
"I love you to James."

Okay, I think I am going to make that a song fic, but it'll stay like this for now. And I forgot to mention I am changing my pen name. But that's all.. For now.
