Our Last Summer

This is a poem by Meiling written about the summer before the second movie. It kind of explains why Meilng tried so hard to get Syaoran and Sakura together after everything she'd done before. Please RR and I know I suck at summaries.

Our Last Summer

A/N: I do not own Meiling, Syaoran, CCS or anything dealing with CCS.

We went to our favorite pond

All alone, as usual

Not wanting to be around anybody

We talked for hours, ignoring the thoughts about she who had caused me pain

I lied my head on your shoulder,

Just as cousins do

You brushed my hair softly

As to make me feel better because you knew I was hurting inside

You slowly picked up my head,

Before I knew it your soft lips were touching mine

So warm,

So comforting,

And everything I ever wanted

I looked deep into your eyes hoping that for once you could see me like you did her

You looked at me almost like you do her,

But then you turned away

At first I was angry at you for playing with my heart like that

I was sad that all chances of winning you are over

But then I realized it,

You did see me like Sakura

You had loved me like that once before

But you hid it

And that summer was signifying the last time you could ever see me like that

And I can accept that

Just knowing that I had held that place in your heart,

Keeps the smile on my face every time I see you with her

And that's why I'll never forget
