One shot fired
One cry for help
His cry for help.
I run to his side
His body limp and lifeless.
I scream with fear.
I cradle his body
Close to mine.
I can feel his breathing easing in and out.
I whisper soothing words.
Paramedics yell frightening terms.
We look at each other
Both showing fear
In our dark eyes.
He starts to ease out his breathing
Doesn't want to hold on.
Too much hurt shows on his face.
A flat line shows
His heart has stopped.
Paramedics charge
And charge his heart.
Up and Down goes his lifeless body.
30 minutes later
Everyone has stopped
Just for him.
One shot was fired.
One cry for help.
He cried for help.
Help faded away.
