Joan made her way up the driveway to the garage. Adam's garage. She just wanted him to talk to her, to forgive her. To call her Jane.

But he wouldn't. He barely would even look at her.

She found him sitting at his bench, creating another sculpture.

"Adam." He didn't even look up. "Adam. Please! Just talk to me." Joan sighed an sat down on the stool across from him. "I'm not leaving until you listen to me, and talk to me."

Still he ignored her.

"Adam I had my reasons! I had to destroy it! God told me to."

Adam lifted his head and looked at her. "God told you to wreck my life? To destroy one of the most important things to me? You know why I make those."

"Adam just listen to me. I talk to God. He tells me to do thing and... he told me to keep your sculpture from being sold. I couldn't think of anything else! I couldn't let you drop out."

"He tells you to do things? Is that like the little voices in your head Joan?"

"I'm not crazy!" Tears welled up in her eyes. "Please forgive me Adam!" Joan watched as Adam stood up and walked over to a shelf that held several of his sculptures.

"I'd made this for you..." He picked it up in his hand. It was small, and the shapes spelled out 'JANE.' "Do you want it?" Adam looked at her and walked towards her.

"Of course I do!" Joan nodded. Did this mean he forgave her?

Adam held it out towards her before turning over his hand. Joan watched as it fell to the hard concrete floor.

Adam watched her face. Her eyes went wide as it shattered, then a tear rolled down her cheek. Slowly she looked up at him, her lower lip trembled. "Adam."

"You need to leave Joan." Joan brought her hand up to her mouth before she turned and rushed out of the garage.

Adam looked at the broken metal before kicking at it. He walked over and sat back down on his stool and rested his head against his hand. Adam stared at the sculpture. At the base of it he had engraved 'For Jane' into the metal.

As mad as he was at her somehow he kept making these. She was on his mind every time he tried to make anything.

They were all for Jane.
