Several weeks after the Ark Incident....

Scientist: The subject seems to be stable. All health conditions seem normal.
Scientist #2: Good, wait the patient is waking up! Aghhhh....
(A flash goes of and suddenly the room is filled with screams of agony... All you can see is the remains of the scientist and all you can see is one Hedgehog standing in the middle of it all)
?????: Hmph...Pathetic humans thinking they can hold me as a prisoner! Well now where's that emerald...Ah there it is (grabs a red chaos emerald) and now to get my katana.
G.U.N. Official: Hey YOU! Stop Right There!
?????: Stupid Ape....Chaos Spear!
(The G.U.N. Official screams in pain and falls limp to the floor)
?????: There'll be more of them....( walks down the hall and punches a door open) Try to hold me back will they..(grabs katana) Heh.... Chaos Control!
1:30 pm
Station Square
(Sonic looks up at the sky and smiles faintly)
Heh...Shad....If I only could've told you.
( Then he looks at a t.v. screen)
Reporter: Reports have been heard of a black hedgehog. He is reported to have a katana and a chaos emerald with him. If you see him handle with care
Sonic: Can it really be him..?
(We now see Sonic zoom off in search of this mysterious hedgehog)

At a remote island
Shadow: Aghhh....damn headache...(grasps the chaos emerald) this saved me...
I think I have enough energy to get off of this damned island.. Chaos Control!
(a green blinding light fills the screen)

In a Mountainous Region
?????: What's this.....Well well, look who it is.
Shadow: What....it can't be.. no it can't be you....
?????: Yes, it is me...
Shadow: But, Darknezz I thought you died in the incident....
Darknezz: Hah, Those pathetic excuses for life couldn't kill me even if they tried..
Now, are we going to finish this or not?
Shadow: Hmph Don't say that I didn't warn you...
Darknezz: Bring it, Shad.
(Shadow rushes towards Darknezz and throws a punch but Darknezz dodges with ease.)
Darknezz: Is that all you have Shadow? Hmph, you disappoint me..(Darknezz jumps over Shadow and does a sweep kick then he grabs Shadow's arm and throw him over at the side of the mountain)
Shadow: You son of a ............
(Shadow dissapears and reappears behind Darknezz and kicks him in the back then he run towards Darknezz's flying body and uppercuts him into the air)
Darknezz: Hahahahahahaha...was that all? (sees something in the distance) Hmmmm... What's this another Hedgehog... Well of course I always say the more the merrier...for me.
Shadow: What the...Its Sonic?!?!?!
(we now see Sonic stop between the two of them)
Sonic: Shadow...Is that you?
Shadow: Heh....The one and only...
Darknezz: Now, Its time for Chaos Lightning!
(bolts of lightning shaped energy appear out of no where and hit Sonic and Shadow)
Darknezz: Chaos....Control!
Sonic: pfffft...What happened..?
Shadow: He got Away...Damn it!
