Dear Inu-Yasha,

This is most difficult. You mother has informed me of our deaths, and I believe I wish to ready you for it.

What would I tell you if I was to die today (or so says your mother)? Well be strong if not for yourself, then for this girl your mother keeps rambling on about. (You might want to say things to her that I was saying to Mimiko when I first met her… Stupid Rosary…) I'd also tell you that you'd be fine in life, no matter what it throws in your face. You were always good at protecting your mother and yourself from those kinds of things. Remember that words are words. They aren't inflicted wounds (though I think I only hold Sesshou-Maru from those actions). They can't make you bleed, but they can make you hurt. And that, my son, is where you must protect yourself.

When one calls you a disgrace, remember that love brought you into this world and, despite prejudices, you will not leave this world without love. I believe in this strongly, especially since your mother was the one that I found when I wished to be in love.

I believe in you,

Your Father,

Tatsuki Lord Taiyoukai
