Leita:
Okay… This first part is a repost as I now have a follow up for an actual
story. I'm going to use Tyson's Japanese name; Takao, as it makes more sense to
me with the whole different nationalities, I'll state who's who, just in case
anyone doesn't know. There are likely to be references to shounen-ai
relationships, but no outright YAOI. Pairings are undecided as of yet, as this
will be more of a spontaneous thing, rather then planned out, so expect the
unexpected. Well, that's all for now… Read and enjoy, and if you're feeling
extra nice, you can leave me a review.

Prologue
"Ahh!" Tala's fist slammed into the wall of the locker room, making an indent. "How? How could this happen..? I was made to be the best. So why did Takao defeat me? Why!?" Another blow.
"You want to know why?" That voice… It was the one who deserted them. Kai…
"Are you here to preach to me?" Tala smirked.
"You could say that." He walked over to Tala, but stopped just away form him.
Tala's shoulders slumped and his expression drew sad. Kai reached out and carefully placed a hand of the others shoulder, and when Tala did not pull back, he held firmer. He was about to 'preach' to Tala, when the other started.
"You had the right idea all along…"
"What?"
"Running away. Getting away from it all… BioVolt… Boris…" He turned to face Kai, looking at him with his turquoise eyes. "So… Why did I loose, Kai?"
"Uh…" Kai was shocked. This wasn't Tala.
"It's because I lost heart in it, isn't it? Lost sight that it was just a game… Not what your grandfather had planned."
You could see it. Kai could see it. Tala, leader of the infamous Demolition Boys, was so close to tears.
"Tala… If… If you've realised it for yourself… Then… there's still hope for you."
"Hope for what? The abbey was my home, I've nothing else to live for…" One lonely tear fell from the Russian's eye, down his cheek.
"Tala…" Kai embraced the boy, comforting him.
"Kai." A chocked sob, Tala now let himself go and wept in the other's arms.
To be continued…
