Encounter
As I fought fatigue and pressed on the light faded more with every step. The corridor was long and now only my lantern could guide me.
The Distance I traveled was an eternity's worth, as the corridor seemed to twist and defy the laws of nature, but I finally reached a room. It was dimly lit by torches and had an ill feel to it, but so do all rooms in labyrinths.
As I looked to see over the ledge I was on, my hairs stood on end. A sudden feeling of fear struck me in the heart. Then, sharp claws dug into my back!......Then....darkness...and a new beginning.
