"Where are you?" "I'm here" "I can't see you" "I'll always be here." Suddenly Kaoru saw the light and felt the warmth of blue. She saw his golden eyes piercing in hers. "Kenshin!" Kaoru said running over to him. But he didn't hug her back. She looked up at him and shivered. This wasn't Kenshin. It was the battousai. He looked at the ground his head showing nothing but the crimson bangs on his forehead. "No! No! No!" Kaoru shouted. He walked over to her slamming her against the wall. "What the hell are you trying to do!"

Kaoru woke up to the smell of fried rice cooking in the kitchen. She got up from her seeping bag and noticed Kenshin wasn't there. "Where is that man?" she said irritated. She stumped into the kitchen and saw him cooking in the kitchen. She giggled looking at his Apron. It was her mothers. It was very beautiful; it had lace on it and little roses on the sleeves of it. It wasn't everyday you'd see a man wear a famine apron, or even an apron at all. "Good Morning Kenshin" she said smiling. He jumped as if he were startled "Oh Konnichiwa Miss Kaoru" He put the top on the skillet and got bowls out of the cupboard. "Can I interest you in some fried rice Miss Kaoru" he smiled holding the bowl out to her. "Sure Kenshin, I'm starved." Kaoru walked over to the table and sat down. They both were silent. "So, were you okay last night?" Kenshin frowned "I heard you yell in your sleep. I tried to wake you up but you wouldn't wake up" Kaoru blushed "I'm sorry" Kenshin smiled and turned to his cooking. Kaoru thought about her dream again, somehow, she didn't mind it. Why was that? "Kaoru? Kaoru!" Kenshin snapped his fingers "Are you sure your okay?" Kaoru shock her head and "I was just thinking" she looked down and saw the bowl of hot fried rice. "Thank you" Kenshin smiled and took the skillet off the oven. "So, are you sure your okay?" "Yeah of course! Why wouldn't I be??" Kaoru walked out of the kitchen and went to the living room to get her clothes and a towel. She left the house and walked down to the lake. Smelling the fresh air she went into the lake and bathed. "Why did I think about that dream" Kaoru thought over and over again. Suddenly she heard a sound in the bushes and looked. "Miss Kaoru?" Kenshin jumped out of the bushes and stopped covering his eyes. Kaoru covered herself as well. "What the hell are you doing her!" "I'm sorry, I was, I was just looking for you. I called your name and you didn't answer, and you also left the door open. When Kenshin opened his eyes she was already dressed, he walked over to her. "And you also left your fried rice." Kaoru laughed and walked towards the house. "Kenshin you are so crazy" Kenshin joined her "that I am!" the both laughed. "Kenshin?" Kaoru asked "Yeah?" "Will you put my hair up." She asked "Sure" Kenshin got behind her and tied her hair with the bow that she handed him. "There you go!" "Arigato" Kaoru said smiling. They were both face to face. Kaoru stared into his violet eyes and his deep red hair. "Kenshin I." "Yes?" Kaoru was silent and tried to think. "I have to get home. Yahiko must be waiting for me." Kenshin nodded and they both walked home.
