Dark is his heart as he hides in the shadows
Black is his soul as he runs his sword through me
As he laughs at me I know that deep down inside
He still loves me
For I know that it is not he that truly laughs
It is the demon of which we all know as Jenova
And still I forgive him
Why?
Is because I have done what demons fear to do the most.
I have fallen in love.
As I wait in the Promised Land for something, perhaps anything to happen.
Something that will take away the pain of a lost love
Something that might stop my heart from being broken
I hear the planet calling
I hear my mother shout at me to run away.
But why run when you're already dead?
Didn't the sword of my beloved destroy me?
Was I not left in the lake by the mercenary?
The one that goes by the name Cloud?
Now that I could see what was happening, I saw HIM
Wounded with a large hole through his stomach
Just as he did to me
I hear my mother screaming at him to stop.
To stay where he was.
To not go anywhere near me.
But still he comes
Again my mother calls for me to run.
And I do
I run to the one who was possessed by the demon
But he stumbles
"I can not die, not when I'm so close." I hear him mutter.
I kneel beside him
"Close to what?" I ask and he looks up.
"To you." He says with a smile on his face.
This is the boy and the man of which I lost five years ago.
This is the love that was taken from me by that demon.
My love and my life
"Aerith." He whispers my name as I hug him tightly.
"Sephy." I use the nick name of which I gave him so many years ago.
"She's gone." He says like the words are a blessing.
"Yes… I know." I just held him closer.
He is my life
He is my world
He is my one winged angel
And I'm his flower girl.
