Six months from the "bear incident" and the Games are on again. However, the prize is not a bride. This is worth far more. The Golden Spear. An ancient weapon that will change the clans fate. However, when trickery runs deep in the competition, Merida realizes that not everyone's fate is so easily determined...or changed.

Five years later & another Highland Games tournament, Merida is faced with a new trial that she brought upon herself. Now she must use all that she has learned to save herself and her unwanted traveling companion from the dangers of the unforgiving Scottish highlands and the storms of war brewing in the South. With a thriving Roman Empire surviving into the 10th century and dominating Europe, it is not so easy for an Alban princess to avoid a political marriage as she might wish. Merida has to come to terms with her fate as a noble woman in a patriarchal age.

Sequel to: Bear Family. Elinor has to reveal to her husband a secret she's kept from him. Even if it could mean the end of her relationship?

This story takes place after Elinor throws Merida's bow into the fire. The suitors are sent on a quest to find her and bring her back. Merida doesn't want to go back and have nothing to do with the suitors. But fate and destiny has other plans for these four. It's what I have imagined the movie to end for Merida to fall in love with one of the suitors. (I don't own anything!)

This is a story based on an illustration that I did at an art studio one day. The plot popped into my mind while I was having my own bubble bath. I love taking my Merida doll into the tubwith me and scrubbing her clean. This is my idea of what happens to Merida as she rides through the Scottish Highlands on her trusty horse Angus.
