(BEING REWRITTEN) A woman runs away after committing a murder. She comes across Captain Spaulding, soon after she is in a car accident and wakes up in the Firefly house. They accept her quickly into the family, all except Otis of course. Then she meets the tall and dark Rufus Jr. R.J strikes up a friendship with the mute woman, but friendship soon turns into something else.

When Otis meets his half brother Foxy he's unsure what to make of him, will Foxy be able to fit into the original mold of the firefly family?

While Lily (O/C) is away on a business trip Otis has a terrible accident causing temporary paralysis, he has never been so vulnerable or scared since he was a child. But can this accident get rid of the tension and walls between Otis and Cutter? Can they repair their father and adoptive son relationship? And will it make Lily and Otis's relationship stronger or drive them apart?

When Alice had been taken in by the Firefly family she had gotten close to them all, all except Otis. His gruff, angry demeanor and the huge wall he had built around himself makes it pretty much impossible for anyone to get close. But can Alice break down the wall and see the Otis noone else sees.

Otis struggles with his abusive childhood and struggles to open up to his girl about it worried it will push her away, but after a life or death situation can he finally accept that she's here to stay and won't leave him because of what he suffered. Otis/Alice OC

When this scared little rabbit becomes the new member of the firefly family Otis thinks she's out of her depth she's jumpy and scared but are they more similar than Otis realises? Has she finally got a family she can call her own and more importantly will Otis make this scared little rabbit his?

One of Otis's potential victims isn't quite all what she seems, she has a fighting spirit. Now she is part of the Firefly family, Otis refuses to let himself get close but can she do what no one else has and get close to him and become the devil's girl.
